I begin this study with Psalm 1—The “Doorway to the Psalms.”

The Blessed Man is on a path to the Assembly of the Righteous. It is not an easy path, and if you study through the Psalms you find the Blessed Man walking through suffering and hard circumstances. Yet he never quits!

The final Blessed Man is Jesus Christ.  The Sermon on the Mount shows the way to the “Grand Entrance”— to His Kingdom. Jesus describes the character of the Blessed Man with “Beatitudes.”

Between the “Doorway” and the “Grand Entrance” is a line of kings. Actually, two lines of kings.  One line that begins with the story of Samuel and goes through Saul and David and Solomon. The line splits into the kings of Israel and the  kings of Judah. Most of them are wicked kings. And even the good kings are badly flawed.

We ask ourselves, “Which path am I following?” Or better “Whose path am I following?”  Jesus said, “You can tell the tree by its fruit.”  We do bear fruit “in its season” as we follow Him!
