A Study of the Post-Exilic Prophets: Haggai to Malachi

Haggai urges the defeated and discouraged believers of the remnant to rebuild the Temple. He offers hope and the promise of the Lord’s blessing on the nation.

Zechariah reminds the people of Jerusalem that “The Lord Remembers.” His vision and prophecies from the mouth of the Lord speak of the glorious restoration of Jerusalem in the Millennial Age to come, when Messiah Jesus will rebuild the Temple promised in Ezekiel, and purify a People for His Name.

Malachi, the final prophet of the Old Testament era, calls the people to turn from corruption to faithfulness. He promises that the Lord will send a messenger, one who will proclaim the the Lord that is coming to judge and purify His People.
